Can you say what you like about it? I know aesthetics are highly subjective, but I agree with OP so strongly I’m having a hard time imagining another perspective.

Whoever put her in that dress really hates her. I’m just curious about why they hate her and if it’s justified.

Oh wow, I'm not sure that dress would look good on anyone. Unless you really wanted the look of your hips disappearing, I guess.

I think it could look good on someone with bigger hips and a bigger chest (as long as the V neck was adjusted accordingly) because it would drape rather than being a sad trombone of flatness.

Oh yikes! I was curious when I saw this comment in the SYDWTM thread a few weeks ago, and this does not disappoint. Oh it's bad.

It's not a great dress, but looking at other pictures of her... why is she blonde in this one?

It looks like a canvas tarp.

I think the dress would look good on someone else, but yeah... I don't love it on her. Took me a minute to have an opinion though, because I REALLY don't think being a blonde suits her at all.

She's a beautiful woman even so, but it's just not how I would style her.

I find Bryce Dallas Howard to be one of the most attractive women I have ever seen, but this dress is not it at all. ;o;

I have no idea who this actress is so just judging by the image... I think the problem is that her body really has no shape to it, so it's like putting a dress on a rectangle. It's going to look boring no matter what. If she were more busty or her hips were bigger, I think it would look just fine because I actually don't find the color or the fabric to be bad at all.

Ugh, what a shame. Was the character supposed to be bad at fashion?

This dress isn't terrible on its own. It could look nice on someone with dark skin.

Okay, I seem to be the only person on F!S who has seen Argylle. The dress may be intentionally awkward because the character is pushed into a role that is ill-fitting for her. I say "may" because well, it's not a good movie and I would be surprised that much thought was put into it.

Also, the movie should have ended with John Cena and Henry Cavill kissing.
