I like the TV version okay, but I prefer the book versions of the characters, and I do not like the TV show fans very much. It's not exactly their fault that the TV version only included half of certain jokes (like never explaining that the Queen music in the car has nothing to do with Crowley's taste in music, or leaving out the hints that the third baby lived), but the erroneous assumptions built from the absence of the full picture still annoy me. So does the influx of fans who aren't even trying to approach the characters with any thought or nuance.

Worse still, people who clearly haven't read the book will tag their fanfic as both the book and TV versions, so even finding book canon fic is a crapshoot.

Yeah, show's fans are also annoy me. I was open to enjoying fandom despite being not a TV fan, but I am too old and too cranky and too nerdy for this
