Trigger Warning: suicide

(Anonymous) 2024-04-06 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
Someone posted a suicide note as the final chapter on their fic and it was incredibly jarring and uosetting to read. I have absolutely no way of tracking this author offline and while logically I know its not my responsibility and there is a good chance its a troll, I am still so concerned and upset. I feel like shit now and can't stop worrying about them.

Wow, that's a terrible thing to do on multiple levels. And it's obvious it wasn't supposed to be a note from one of the characters in the fic? (That *could* work in a story but you have to have a certain delicacy to pull it off AND you had better damn well make it clear that it's an in-character, in-universe occurrence!)

Are you in any true crime circles? Cause if you can link the fic to someone like the mods at True Crime Society there’s a chance the group members can identify the author. It’s wild how good some of them are. There was one member who was like a superior detective and then she went missing and others figured out she was actually kidnapped and they identified the guy and helped find her body.
