Re: How long after finishing media would you be okay with starting its sequel

If I liked it it literally does not matter, I retain that stuff. Like I can go YEARS between installments of a book or film series without a rewatch.

I may or may not rewatch a little of a TV show before getting a new season, if it was a show that I watched while having to multitask, but if I did pay full attention to it then I might not NEED to.

Which is not to say I never will rewatch or reread something, just because I like it! But it is very rarely a necessity for me.

With video games I don't tend to replay for plot reasons but might replay side by side to compare gameplay (or if the sequel lacks some particular thing that I miss, as was the case with the Torchlight games, with some installments of Rune Factory or Fire Emblem... Civ VI compared to Civ V, I guess, but like... there's not exactly a plot reason that someone would replay a previous Civ or Sim game)
