Hasn't Sirius/Remus always been one of the most popular ships? As someone who doesn't ship it and has little interest in Marauders' era fic, it feels as if that stuff has always been incredible popular, even before TikTok.

It's unusual, maybe, but it existed before Tiktok. But I don't spend any time there so maybe they're doing it some particularly weird way?

Oh, I see. I read it that the popularity of both is supposedly inflated because of TikTok.

I think it'd be hard to study any effect beyond proliferation, but that in of itself has been amazingly large yeah.
