I'm sure you're not a bad as you think OP. But in any case you could always write it for yourself and never publish it, just because it's fanfic doesn't mean you have to put it anyway, especially if you're worried about your overall quality of writing.

I do this with certain types of ships that I know no one else will want to read, I write it for myself so I can read them and be happy. So if you want to I'd 100% suggest giving it a go, making yourself happy is a perfectly valid reason to create something even if it will only have an audience of one. Because imo there's never any wasted time with creative pursuits. :)

Just read ATLA airbender fic that was marked as complete. 150,000+ words. Last two chapters were just "chapter will be posted soon." From years ago. Whyyyyy is it marked complete?

I am guilty of this on my old FFnet account that I no longer have access to ;_;
I didn't mean to be part of the problem - I saw that everyone else had abandoned their fics like that and thought that that was what you were suppose to do with long incompleted fics I'M SORRY.

I have a friend that will not do things they are bad at or have no hope of improving to be better at. I'm a shit artist and I have been for years with zero signs of improvement, but I still enjoy puttering around with different painting mediums. Lately I've been on a watercolors kick.
