I have two pups and a furry ball of homicidal rage. I bought Baxter off of FB because I didn’t know any better, and I scooped Rascal out of the middle of the road almost ten years later. They’re a perfect pair of the sweetest doggos ever. Bax is some sort of lab mix and Rascal looks like a short haired JRT but he’s bigger and he’s white and black instead of white and brown.
Our cat Dolly came with the purchase of our house. She had been lurking in the property for years and when we found out about her, we reassured the sellers that we’d continue feeding her. That escalated to making her a shelter and then eventually she just moved in with us. She’s incredibly sweet except for like 95% of the time when she just wants to kill everything.

This is my Joanna. She owns my heart. She sleeps on top of my legs. She climbs up on my lap every morning first thing for morning pet time. She's waiting at the door for me when I get home. She's my motivation, my inspiration, my heart.

Not to bring the thread down, but I just said goodbye to my canine companion of 17 years. She was the best dog and I am heartbroken.

Give your pets an extra hug for me F!Sers.

My old men cats are still alive and kicking. Perseus (15) has gone into stage one kidney failure, so he's on a special diet. He doesn't always eat his food though, so Reznor (16) is making out like a bandit.

I rescued my baby boy Jasper back in 2009 after I had to put my baby girl Molly down due to liver failure and we lost Simba in 2004 when he was run over. He's still around and kicking at 14 and I expect will be around for a while longer.

(All three are cats and rescues)

Standed for myself with a client. Probably going to loose money. But that was a big chance either way.
Maybe could have handled better and should have had done some things earlier. But I am proud. I am really easily persuaded by "oh we need your work. Without it everything is lost etc. It's your duty". Yeah yeah, somehow my work isn't valuable enough to pay me on time so you all will live.

Massive migraine since yesterday. Only slept about 2 hours, but can't sleep yet. Laying in bed with an ice pack on my head, the lights off, and ear plugs in.

I had a medical thing today on the opposite side of the (long) state. It was my third time going and the worst journey by far of the times I’ve had to do it. But the appointment was the best yet and it was also my last so I’m riding a wave of euphoria.

Had a small medical procedure that will in the longer term make me feel better, but in the shorter term is making me feel blahhhhhh/gross.

Old fandom, new pairing?

Do you ever revisit an old fandom and surprised to find yourself shipping different characters than you did originally?

Bored and between fandoms so I was trawling through Angel the Series on ao3 (when I was in the fandom there was no ao3, so it was interesting to see what was there) and surprised myself by reading a Giles/Wesley fic and suddenly now I'm all in on that pairing. Definitely did not ship them previously and honestly probably would have been squicked by the ship.

New ships, not really. But when I was in the LOTR fandom as a teen, I was all about Aragorn. After watching as adults, I am all about Faramir.

Every time I get back into X-Men I pick up a new ship. It’s absurd and wonderful but also kinda sucky cause it’s never any of the popular ships 😅

First time around with House, I shipped House/Cuddy. More recent rewatches I don't really ship much except maybe a little bit House/Wilson and Amber/Wilson for those few episodes they were together.
