For most of my 30 years in fandom, I only shipped het pairings, and was always sad when m/m and f/f shippers would generalize about m/f shippers being homophobic. There were some m/m or f/f or poly ships I thought were cute or interesting, but I didn't write fic for them and only rarely read fic. Now my current OTP is m/m and I wonder if I'll ever have a f/f OTP. But since I average one OTP per decade, finding one may take awhile.

I'm sure there are hetshippers out there that avoid other ship configurations out of bigotry. I'm just really picky, tend to only have one OTP at a time, and stay in my fandoms forever.
