Really Weird Family Thing

(Anonymous) 2024-04-28 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Today I found my biological grandfather. We aren’t sure which of his sons was my father, although we managed to exclude the youngest through his son, my cousin, who found me about a month ago.

My grandfather was born in 1884 and was 93 years old when I was born. My father would have been between 50 and 58, depending on which son it was. All of the sons had been married at least 30 years. My surviving siblings and cousins range from 62 to 86. The oldest member of the generation after mine is 59 (that I’ve found so far).

My cousin who found me is 51 and because his father was given up for adoption, is also unknown to these people.

I’m 47. My adoptive parents were older than all of my friend’s parents when I was growing up. They’re 80 and 81.

I’ve spent my entire life looking for my bio family but now I’m genuinely worried that if I make contact, the shock could literally kill some of these people.

Wow, WOW! Congratulations.
I hope that you *do* make contact, Anon. I think they can handle it. That is so amazing.
