I mean, Bones was awesome until it wasn't. And the same with House. I with the quality had remained good and the characters hadn't been ruined.

And, okay, I enjoyed Rings of Power. But it could have been so much better. It is Middle Earth, so I'll enjoy it. And I think it was better than a lot of people think. But it could have been so much better. There were just a lot of missteps that could have been avoided.

Oof big agree on all of those. I had to stop watching Bones and House (though I think House ended well, there was just an in-between place that I couldn't watch). And yeah, Rings of Power had some things I liked! It just also had some things that could have been MORE.

Teen Wolf

Teen Wolf. I feel like it had real potential and did some interesting things but also was total incompetent trash.

+1
I watched the first two seasons and stuck to fanfic after that. The characters and the setting were really interesting, but the execution was not.

Dark Matter

I thought it had some great aspects and characters and a few I could have done without. And then things got pretty messy and didn’t get the chance to fulfill its potential.

I'm probably showing my age here, but SGA, Highlander, The Sentinel, Torchwood.

Highlander is great!

SGA - I really wanted it to be the 'abandonded colony surviving in a new galaxy' that fandom wrote about. I mean I still enjoyed the show, but it could have been so much more.

I’m with you on Highlander! I loved a lot of it but even at the time there was a lot of cringey stuff. Richie was a terrible character and it was painful watching him in the first season or two. Maybe with better predevelopment and better casting he wouldn’t have been such a drain on the show.

sup fellow genXer have you scheduled your shingles vaccine yet?

anyway +1 Sentinal and Highlander. Both were gateway slash series for me and once I dipped that toe into fandom, the shows just didn't hold up as well.

Still too young to get the shingles, to my eternal consternation. I found the fandoms for all of these to be so much better than the shows; I can't go back and watch any of them!

Hey! I enjoyed this series but I am older millennial

I've always said that the one show that needs a reboot is the Sentinel. Highlander possibly as well, I haven't been as into it as TS.

Enterprise. As much as I had enjoyed watching the show in my teens - it could have been so much better than it was and if Rick Berman didn't have anything to do with Star Trek (and yes I know he's responsible for the shows we did get, let me just dream in my fantasy world fueled by fanfics dammit).

Supernatural. I liked the idea of two brothers hunting demons and monsters, and I liked the slightly X-Files(ish) feel of the early episodes. I don't care about the whole heaven/hell/angels stuff, and no offense to Misha Collins who seems nice enough, I don't care about Destiel. Or any ship, really. I just wanted a slightly dark monster hunting adventure with some sarcastic humor.

the Knuckles series should've been about Knuckles and not some side cop
