That's honestly clever. Even if it's a retcon, acknowledge it out of universe, but mention that the Imperium is so thoroughly fucked up in its registries and knowledge that they would be genuinely stupid enough to forget there were female custodes.

In any case, I like the headcanon that whoever gets augmented stops being human as a whole, and sure as hell stops being male entirely due to how much their bodies are mutated and turned into biological monstrosities, but that's here nor there. I actually understand why would there be female custodes, and I like it.

I saw a post complaining about female Custodes, and a reply from someone who’d found three different neo-Nazis among the reblogs of the complaints. So I checked the reblogs, and the first complainer I found had a racial slur three posts down on his blog. You could get a pretty good blocklist out of this.

Because a lot of gamer dudes and grognards are fucking braindead.

Basically an old-school, traditionalist fan of tabletop RPGs and war games. Especially ones who are taking it to the point of hidebound exclusive gatekeeping dickishness.

It originally was a nickname for the 'Old Guard' veterans of Napoleon's Imperial Guard I believe? It literally means "the grumblers". And it got adopted by historical wargame players and then spread more widely to tabletop game players in general.

I don’t know what this is but the secret has me thinking I’d 100% love it or I’m best off staying far away.

Warhammer 40K, one of the same fandoms complained about in secret 6. It’s originally a wargame setting, and it’s arranged in such a way that every army has a plausible in-universe reason to fight every other army including itself. The closest thing to “good guys” are the people who conquer and sterilize outsiders, because everyone else kills outsiders on sight.

Personally, my interests lean more towards Brighthammer: https://weirdhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Setting:Brighthammer_40,000
