Since apparently the only thing you care about your child seeing is gay people raising children, try http://www.buddyg.tv/home.php this.

Otherwise, it's not that hard to correct her. Brock and Doc aren't gay. There are gay characters on Venture Bros, plenty of them - Colonel Gentleman and Kiki, King Gorilla, Alchemist, Shore Leave and Mile High. Two men who live in the same house with kids doesn't make them 'two dads', and it doesn't make them gay. I'm all for gay characters, but when they're straight, THEY'RE STRAIGHT. Jesus.

Furthermore, I cannot fathom why your child is up that late, and if you're showing her the DVDs, there's even more wrong with you, because s3 is uncensored.

I don't know, I think Brock is kind of like a dad, even though I agree that he and Dr. Venture are not in a romantic/sexual relationship.

At the very least, Hank considers Brock more of a father figure than his own father. :/

Yes, my partner & I frequently allow our daughter's basic physiological and psychosocial needs to go unmet so that we don't shift precious focus away from our sole goal in life, making her watch other gay people with kids on TV.

We have the season 1 DVD set, and we let her watch the episode with the ghost pirates, not because we thought Rusty & Brock make awesome gay parent role models (as they are neither gay nor role models), but because she likes ghosts, pirates, and David Bowie. After watching it, she pointed out that the boys on the show had two dads, and we agreed that yeah, they kinda did. I'm sorry if my daughter's reasoning offended you. You're right, I absolutely should have put her down for her ridiculous assertion that these two guys whose lives revolve around (well, Brock's does, anyway) the kids that they are raising were both parents to them -- that would imply that they are gay, and nothing could be more insulting to a straight cartoon character's integrity.

I am genuinely conflicted about letting her watch a show which contains violence, despite the fact that she seems to love the crap out of all the episodes we've let her see. I'm not so much worried about her hearing bad words, or, God forbid, making a statement that an adult could misinterpret to mean two straight guys were boning each other.

I appreciate the rec, I really do. I was secretly hoping for more when I made the secret; I'm now sadly disappointed that apparently besides that one episode of Buster that was made but then forbidden from ever being aired, this is the only thing that's out there and it's just one episode available by direct order DVD.
