What fandoms in your opinion have the worst fic? What is your criteria?

I feel like a lot of video game fandoms have some wonderful shining examples, and then the rest is original character/self insert/you trash fic.

In my experience the fandoms with the worst are often the ones that also have the best. A wider range of variety means more good and more bad.

Anime hands down has the biggest percentage of bad vs good fic.

To me, "bad fic" is basically where basic story elements such as characterization, pacing, story structure, exposition, and SPAG are unmistakably thin, wobbly, or non-existent.

Whenever I get into a small fandom, I'm always surprised by how bad the fic quality is, but I think it's actually just a numbers game. A certain percentage of fics will be good, so the more fic there is, the more good fic there will be.
