Re: Do you comment on fics?

I try to comment on every fic I finish. As an ex-writer, I know how much a comment can mean. So I generally say the first thing that pops into my head, because that's the salient point I've taken away from the fic. Also it removes a lot of the pencil-chewing from composing the comment. It may not end up being deep or meaningful, but it's *there*, and it picks up on the most important point in the fic for me. A thank-you to the author for sharing the fic, and bam, done.
