FR he's so overrated it's been souring me on the original Tenth Doctor stuff, which kinda sucks because like, he WAS good actually! Just not the fuckin, specialest boy in the whole world who needs to be brought back every couple years until we're all sick of him.

This is exactly how I feel. He's good. But so are most of the other Doctors. Treating him like he's better, special, the only good Doctor sours a run that was actually good for me.

But bringing him back does not mean that he's the bestest specialest doctor

You're getting mad at the character for an assumption that you're bringing to the table in the first place

Bringing him back once, sure. Bringing him back multiple times and giving him multiple regenerations and special things no other Doctor gets? Yes, that is treating him differently.

It is not giving him any in-universe status different from the other Doctors.

It's treating him differently outside the universe of the show, but for reasons that have already been explained at length, IE, he is the only Doctor performer who is apparently willing to come back.

I believe he also had the highest ratings and the most vocal fans.

They would 100% bring back Eccleston or Smith if Eccleston or Smith wanted to come back.

You do know what they don't have to bring Ten back repeatedly, right? It's a choice they're making because someone who gets to decide likes him.
