Jimmy Eat World has been popping up all over the place for me. So weird. I haven't thought if the band in a bit but you are totally right. There was something about their songs that just hit me right in the emotions and had a habit of destroying me. All while also making me want to get up and dance.

I haven't heard a lot of their music aside from their many singles, but they are so good live.

Just randomly saw a reddit post where someone said they were blown away by their live show. Makes me want to go to one to see!

chase this light is a perfect album, front to back, for me and i listen to it regularly. there's something about jew that set them apart from others during that era of music, and their songs hold up so well

I just saw them live opening for Fall Out Boy recently and Hear You Me still makes me sob like no other. As someone else noted, Chase This Light is an incredible album, as is their original, Bleed American. I still listen to them nearly every day ha

I was a teen when Jimmy Eat World first got big but I wasn't into the emo scene, so I didn't listen to Bleed American until a couple years ago and boy did I miss out. Bleed American was the exact sort of album I needed to help me get through my teens and 20s.
I blast a lot of Jimmy Eat World songs now and I definitely agree it's because the way the songs are sung that feels...cathartic. It's the cry out for all suffering kids to get through their shit so they can live life.
