Jimmy Eat World has been popping up all over the place for me. So weird. I haven't thought if the band in a bit but you are totally right. There was something about their songs that just hit me right in the emotions and had a habit of destroying me. All while also making me want to get up and dance.

I was a teen when Jimmy Eat World first got big but I wasn't into the emo scene, so I didn't listen to Bleed American until a couple years ago and boy did I miss out. Bleed American was the exact sort of album I needed to help me get through my teens and 20s.
I blast a lot of Jimmy Eat World songs now and I definitely agree it's because the way the songs are sung that feels...cathartic. It's the cry out for all suffering kids to get through their shit so they can live life.

I remember binging this in a hotel room and my niece and I were laughing pretty hard. We were driving halfway across the US so it could have been exhaustion but it was a good time nonetheless. :D

I just watched a Teen Titans/Teen Titans Go crossover movie and it was so funny. I was sure I'd be annoyed by TTGo but no, it made me laugh throughout.

I do really like the style they went with, the opening is very nice, and the character designs are fun. Mixed on the episodes and humor, but my niece loves it. The D&D episode is one of the few I watched because of her, and thought it was cute.

It's wild to remember the internet's overall reaction to it now, so overkill.

I gave it a try and it didn't quite do it for me, but I WILL give them this:

1) Having cameos from creators George Perez and Marv Wolfman was very sweet;
2) Weird Al as Darkseid was INSPIRED.

I watched Teen Titans growing up (as a tween), and it was more serious, has its somber tones, etc.

I was changing channels (like 15 years later), did the whole "bUt mY cHilDHoOD!!111" watched one episode and was cracking up. it's a definitely the cartoon version of a trip + sugar for kids. Funny show, glad the last ds have it. if I had time, I'd watch it got fun.
