It's possible to love people and hate what they do or who they are. I hate Republicans, my grandparents are Republicans, and I still love my grandparents. So you can't say it's impossible to love the "sinner" and hate the "sin." To us, being a Republican is a sin, and I love a couple of the sinners. You may think I shouldn't, but the fact is I do.
