Re: Conventions?

I used to! I went to SDCC and PAX East a few times, and tried and checkout any of the smaller local cons. But now I am a boring Old and don't have the disposable income or time off that my younger self did. If I had money and a free schedule I absolutley would still go to all the cons I could.

I did volunteer at a con locally for a couple of years but then COVID happened and I never really got back into it.

I've been thinking of volunteering for a nearby con, but I have never had a whole weekend free at the same time as a convention. But I'd like to do it at least once before my health completely craps out.

If it helps, the con I volunteered at didnt need you to commit to the whole thing. They preferred it, but if you only had one day they'd take it.

Yeah I should probably look into other conventions since more have started to open up again after lockdown. The one I'm referencing to has made it mandatory to be available the whole time, but there's probably others that aren't so strict.
