What did he do? I last watched his videos when he was talking about building castles, and they seemed pretty okay.

He either went into the wrong crowd, or showed his true colors. Either or.

Years ago, he made another channel, Knights Talk or some shit like it. In it, he and a bunch of chuds criticized absolutely anything regarding women or minorities in media, and in one incredibly stupid point, criticized Peach wearing that form-fitting costume in the Mario film trailer on the grounds that it was 'woke' and 'breaking canon'... when it was her fucking costume in Mario Kart.

It gets even worse when he said he 'feared it was giving his daughters the wrong message' when they showed an interest in Peach when she happened to be a genuine badass and a plot mover. Hell, remember the meme/video of that crazy guy screaming about 'fucking pronouns' in Starfield? ... He's one of the main people in Shad's talk show. Needless to say, he also turned out to be an explicitly transphobic POS.

After that, I saw he became a punching bag for breadtube content creators, and it seems both Overly Sarcastic Productions and Skallagrim distanced themselves from him once he went into that thinly-veiled bigoted crowd.

The last video I watched from him, he talked about how 'Knights Talk' was the one channel actually giving him money, but whined about 'how the algorithm was screwing him over as a conservative' and how 'he had to maintain a family'. Needless to say, I stopped watching him entirely after that, and blocked his content on my end.

I never knew what happened for him for years, whenever if he kept his fanbase or how many actually abandoned him. But if him going the deep end DID destroy both of his channels, I can't help but agree that he brought this onto himself.

He made a video about how female custodes were a war in men or something and I just... I mourn for what we once had. No one is perfect but hi old stuff was fun. If I were a family member I'd demand he get a checkup, but I'm not so I've blocked his chabels.

I think he was riffing off of university, as in his name was Shad and he was a one man university. Which oughta have been a redflag right there.

Aaah, Shadiversity. I once saw a curious video from him about where people would stay during the middle ages other than in an inn and was interested.

Then I saw his video where he complained about fictional characters wearing a scabbard on the back (it's fiction so Rule of Cool, dude, but whatever). In it he showcased his own "ingenious" scabbard that would allow a quick draw while worn on the back and it was the most ridiculous, non-functional design I've ever seen. It was so bad, whenever I hear his name I immediately remember that dumb and impractical design lol.

I kinda got the feeling he was a bit too up his own ass from his videos, so I'm not surprised he fell in with that crowd.

Oh, I used to enjoy his videos about what kind of weapons fantasy races might be drawn to given their specific strengths... and then he posted a video defending Sargon of Akkad or some other altright youtuber, and I realised the kind of crowd he aspired to belong to. The next/last thing I heard from him was somebody point-by-point critiquing a ridiculous pro-AI video he did, making a tremendously bland image of his wife as Supergirl. I'm not surprised he's only got worse and worse, honestly.
