Bait, Bait, troll, Bait. etc. etc. Obviously just made in hopes to see people split some hairs.

But genuinely, as a Gen z, I never understood this sentiment, even when I was in my teens and in fandom. Older fans can be annoying, but just as much as younger fans can be annoying, or anyone else. A lot of great fandom stuff won't be around without older fans to make it or curate certain spaces. This isn't to say that younger fans also don't make great stuff too, I think people are quick to dismiss them out of spite of the above sentiment.

As a teen, the safest fan groups (in my opinion and at the time) were the ones with an older adult fan around, any completely teen/kid fan groups were a nightmare.
