I love Donna, Ace and Tegan so much. I feel like this is still pretty harsh on all of the other companions (and if you like Tegan it's very insulting to call her girlfriend a cabbage tbh) but you're not wrong that Donna, Ace and Tegan are all amazing.

Time travel is fine as long as it's not aggressively dumb.

Section 31 shouldn't have any stories told about it, the Borg probably need to be retired for a while but they can come back eventually, and the Mirror Universe is OK as long as the writers are primarily focused on giving us sexy evil versions and/or sexy slave versions of all of the different characters rather than any kind of metaplot.
