So, this is probably ragebait, but I never understood this type of thinking. When I was in my late teens, I used to hang out on a message board for a fandom I was into at the time. One day I learned that one of the veterans was a lady in her 90s who loved shipping and writing fic. The only emotion I felt upon learning about her was immense relief and happiness. Why? Growing up surrounded by miserable adults who kept telling me I was growing too old for my interests, she was living proof that such things had no age limit.

I also never thought of her as creepy. She was delight.
