What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am going to be staying home with no plans! I am going to try to finish my current book after DNFing my last two (putting me behind on my goal for the year). Other than that, just gaming and such. Really enjoying the insanity of the new Fortnite season with cars.

DNFing books is so frustrating, but I also refuse to waste my time on books I'm not enjoying. I was on a trend of three DNF in a row, but thankfully I found some books to break me out of that and now I'm back on course for my reading goal.

I really need to clean my room this weekend. The Depression Mess is out of control. Going to try my hardest to get some of it out of the way first thing tomorrow so then I can enjoy the rest of the weekend guilt free.

I feel like I am going to DNF this one but I'm trying hard not to. ;_; I read 5 books so quickly in the beginning of the year but since they can't find anything I love.

Good luck on the cleaning! I usually blast some loud music and go, "Ok, let's see what I can get done before this playlist is done," to make it a race.

I was going to track my DNF on goodreads but after 10 DNF (thankfully not in a row!) I started to feel bad and stopped tracking them lol

Today is the start of my vacation and I'm off until the second week of June.

Months ago I booked a room at the Hyatt Regency in my city and I'm checking in this evening. It will be nearly empty while I'm there because it's between conventions, and my city is big but not exactly a tourist destination anyway, so it will be quiet and peaceful. I am going to hang the Do Not Disturb sign on the door and lay in my king size bed and read fic, watch movies, sleep, nap, eat the occasional meal and hide out from everything while I relax and rejuvenate. I have a spa date Monday where I'm treating myself to a massage, a pedicure, and a new full set of nails. I can't wait!

Omg that sounds heavenly. You don't have the stress of traveling far but you still get the joy of a getaway and being alone and luxury. I applaud you and hope you have a grand time.

Thats exactly it, there's no hassle! I can go back home if I need anything and be back in 45 minutes. Its cheap if you book far enough in advance, and this will be the 5th time I've done it. And I got upgraded this evening to a bigger room with a much nicer view of the city because the room hadn't sold, so yay! Thanks, I am going to have a great time!

This is an elevated staycation! I hope you really enjoy it.

DNF is frustrating for sure. After two or three books that I fail to get into, I go back to old favorites.

I’m happy to say I have no plans this weekend! Just do some laundry and hang with my dogs and maybe play some video games. The last month has been pretty full on so this is a much needed rest.

I never have the urge to reread old books for some reason. :(

Mostly lots and lots of sleep. I've averaged 2-3 hours of sleep this week, not a great week. I had to have extra caffeine just to drive home today.

Getting a massage tomorrow, my regular monthly one. Doing laundry. And then watching the 911 season final and catching up on Doctor Who.

Dang, I hope you can get caught up on sleep!
