Interesting reasoning.

Personally, I'd just say the characters are fictional, and anyone with a problem with it can keep it to themselves or vent in their own private corner. No need to justify it with however the characters may be perceived.

I guess I should have been more clear. I am very much a YKINMK and Don't Like, Don't Read person. I don't think anything should be censored because it is all make believe. Plus, censoring fandom (esp fanfic spaces) "mysteriously" always ends up targeting LGBT centered fics.

However, I don't think (if you care about this) there is anything morally wrong about writing explicit fics about them.
