I think shifting into known people is a bit of a gray area too. Like would you need to get the third party's permission? "Hey, this has nothing to do with you but me and my shapeshifter sex partner want to use your form for fun. Cool? Cool!"

I agree. Shifting into the image of another person is a totally and fundamentally different thing than using another person's body. IMO it's ethically in the same vein as jerking off to freely and legitimately obtained photo/video/audio of a person. On it's own, that's nobody else's business. What's inappropriate is involving the other person in it when you don't have that kind of relationship with them.

That said, I suppose with shapeshifting there is a gray area, in that presumably the shapeshifter somehow duplicates the entire form of whoever they're shifting into, not just the visible parts. Meaning that by having a shape-shifter shift into someone you've never seen naked, you are getting to see an identical image of their naked body without their consent. That's...complicated. You can say, "Yeah, but it's not their body, it's just a duplicate." But non-consensual shower-cam footage is also just a duplicate of a person's body, and it's still wrong that you have it. It's weird to be able to see exactly how someone's pussy/cock looks just by asking someone who isn't them to show you.

At the end of the day, I think this is one of those things I toss in the "If Thing [in this case shapeshifting] existed in real life, we'd have to have a real-world stance on the ethics and legality of exactly how it's utilized, but because Thing doesn't exist in real life, the ethics and legality of its utilization are still somewhat debatable."

Either way though, asking the person for consent to fuck their 3D replication is not the way to go. Do it or don't do it, but don't fucking bring them into it.
