No, because in my fandoms, the adventure is usually just canon. Reading and writing the same type of story canon already wrote for me is boring.

On the other hand that reason might just be me, because in the few fandoms I've had where romance was the main story, I didn't read much fic because it was still all shipping and again I didn't want to read fic all about the thing that was already the point of canon, -- unless it was fic about ships other than the main canon one, but the canon ones were always by far the juggernauts.
