I write a lot of adventure (and case files and character stuff) and shipping in fic can be part of writing the character. Like, fic with shipping doesn't have to be 100% wall-to-wall ship and nothing else happens! Characters have relationships with other characters around them.

Shipping in the sense of posting gifs of the characters standing close to each other and looking for "clues" in canon and slagging off other characters/ships? No thanks.
