I always think of being 14 years old and showing my mother Charlie the Unicorn and Badger Badger, only to get the cold look of judgement for thinking they were funny.

Its just how things are and there's nothing wrong with kids having their own weird humor.

Ah, that's sad. My parents have always been really happy to be drawn into things they would have missed out on if their kids and younger relatives didn't include them in newer stuff that isn't actively aimed at them.
