How what?

How I relate? I used to have what I thought were genuine friends, but perhaps it was one-sided. It sucks because there are times I still miss them terribly years later. And it's hard to be friends with new folks because people change. You might click with someone today but months or years later change in ways you no longer click.

How is life weird? You might have the best of friends, or think you are great friends with other folks, and then life happens and you realize they were just fair weather friends or that you disagree on fundamental things and can't be friends anymore. Or you find out you ARE that friend that lets others down but not until years after the friendship has died. Of course, if there is a lesson to be learned, you hope to learn it so that you don't needlessly fuck up future friendships, but that also doesn't guarantee life or the other person won't challenge that friendship too.
