What a turkey of a book that was. He fucked up the characterizations of Kaladin, Shallan and Adolin so badly that it was legit impressive. It's like he chickened out on everything he'd set up in 'Words of Radiance,' and tried to walk it all back in the most hamfisted way imaginable.
