Terry Pratchett is dead, JK Rowling...is JK Rowling, and GRRM is "still working on it", so yeah. Plus the whole elves and goblins and heroic orphans who are the true heirs to a noble throne is so out of fashion right now that nobody is publishing them. Even if all that wasn't the case, there ain't any fandom spaces left to talk about them in. There is no modern version of AFP or forums or livejournals. There is no meta-spaces. It is all individuals screaming their one thought into the wind on birdsite or mastodon.

And the less said about what is going on with Star Trek and Doctor Who the better.
