Did you not have friends of different a different gender?

I find it baffling and sad when people think men and women can't be friends.

Also, I loved Elaine and her friendships in this group.

I didn't have opposite gender friendships at the time I was exposed to the show. Keep in mind I was about 9 when I first saw even part of it. There's also the fact that I grew up in an area where at the time students with opposite gender friendships got treated differently by kids and adults alike. So childhood exposure via TV appears to have helped me resist this pressure to only be friends with people of the same gender.

That's awesome that that helped. Its odd to me because I grew up with lots of siblings close in age of different genders and we all kind of shared friends, so I honestly can't recall a time in my life when my friend group wasn't a mixed bag.

Thanks for answering, it was an honest curious question not trying to troll or anything.
