If you sincerely don't want to do this, my advice would be to limit contact with the person who provokes you and focus on the characters and pairings. It may help to try to write out what drew you to the thing in the first place; or rather, it may be hard at first and get easier if you keep at it. Empathy is a big part of understanding what a story doesn't outright tell you about the characters' emotional life, so I think it's fairly normal to have to get the hang of going "no, I'm not going to see all this through YOUR eyes" with someone in fandom who makes a loud nuisance of their particular take. But it's a very practical skill to develop.
