Hm, I usually can't identify voice actors but Patrick Warburton is definitely one of the exceptions, lol. Him and H. John Benjamin.

The only ones I can recognize are the ones who use the same voice for everything, but I have a friend who can recognize a bunch of voice actors even when they’re doing vastly different voices. She’s won a few contests at cons with that skill.

I've been listening to the same podcast (Nosleep) for 8+ years. They've had a mostly static cast for that time. I can recognize voices but I could not name the voice actor to save my life for 90% of the cast.

Honestly, it’s not that useful a skill to have. You get some satisfaction when you're able to connect the dots, but that’s about it.

Some voices I confuse with each other because they have similar accent.

Can be pretty annoying, really. Especially if you mainly know them from a very iconic role and then everyone they voice afterwards turns into "oh hey, it's *character*".
It does help me with my mild face blindness though.

I’m the exact opposite! I always recognize the voice actors even if I don’t know their names and it ruins it for me. I can only hear the character I first knew :( I think the worst case was The Dragon Prince which had pretty much the same core cast as ATLA. I really wanted to watch the show but I just couldn’t not hear the actors as their ATLA characters.

I'm so annoying when it comes to recognizing voices. Its not even down to just voice actors, if I'm watching a movie chances are I'll recognize the voice before I recognize the face of a person most of the time. It can be weird because I'll watch someone I definitely know but won't yet 'register' that its them unless its pointed out or they get a lot of speaking lines.
There's a good chance that I slightly suffer from face-blindness lol.

I can do this sometimes, I recognized JARVIS (MCU) was voiced by Paul Bettany pretty much immediately, but I didn't recognize that Karen was voiced by Jennifer Connelly (she and Bettany are married). It adds some to the experience if you know, but it doesn't take away all that much if you don't.

I like serialized and episodic. It really depends on the genre and what the story is trying to do because there's no one size fits all for narratives and frankly I find it really boring and irritating when people try to insist there is one.

If all TV was the same I would barely watch it.

I'm with you.

I used to be really put off by RPF, but someone made the point that RPF is just characters played by people who look like the people in the story.

(Though I'm still put off when the kids/siblings etc. of the actors or sports figures or whatever are mentioned; they didn't ask for fame.)

I wish this didn't happen, but if there is someone in fandom I have bad blood with, I begin to hate the characters and ships they spend time obsessing about, even when *I* also like those characters and ships. Especially if they are not my OTC/OTP (if they are OTC/OTP, then not even a wanker can ruin that character/ship for me!).

I also immediately get a bad impression of anyone where my first interaction with them is seeing them gush over that person's fic/posts/etc. ...Even if those people have no way of knowing that person is a wanker and even if *I* used to like those fics a lot and acknowledge that they're really good.

I just wish my brain wouldn't do this and I could #LetItGo, but I cannot, apparently. I've had so many characters and ships I used to love and gush about ruined for me this way.

What are some small gripes or minor annoyances you deal with atm?

Brought to you by the fucking big spiders that keep finding their way into my bedroom even though I have a screen in front of my window. I think they're coming in through tiny gaps in the door though.
Minor annoyance because we don't have poisonous spiders here and I'm only mildly arachnophobic but ugh.
