as far as i can recall, most people thought he was an asshole for doing that but they also thought it was funny enough to meme? i don't remember anyone celebrating it as a win for minorities. if anyone celebrated, it was a very small number of people.

i think that moment was the final nail in the coffin of kanye west's career. it also seemed to solidify in his mind that acting like an asshole and doing stupid shit gets people to pay attention to him for short periods of time.

Not everyone with grievances about the left is a Trump supporter. I'm a leftist who calls out my own, which is something no Trump supporter would ever do.

Kanye's interruption was a long time ago, when Taylor's most famous song was You Belong With Me, which the left hated for being slut-shamey. She was a pick-me female misogynist, and white, making her double okay to be the target of misogyny herself. Now the left hates her for her private jet and not being left enough. She's been around long enough that there was probably a time in between when they didn't hate her, but she's never been their Queen.
