I think this is reasonable? Gen AI is not good for artists' processes or their livelihoods, and it sucks that people constantly try to pass AI art off as "I made this" (not to mention all the people using deepfake AI art for clickbait and to spread misinformation). That said, it IS a fun technology and there IS a kind of silly, creative expression involved in generating art this way. There's definitely a bit of "at what cost" to the technology and using it, but fundamentally, it's a fun and creative technology, albeit one that I don't think has as much of a "business use case" as business execs seem to think it does (and thinking that it does is hella damaging for artists)... To me, the personal, for-fun use case is where it shines.
