Not OP, but I'm not sure how I'd feel if someone removed a fic of theirs I liked and then rebranded it for some other universe. And then paywalled the original.

Of course it's their fic and their decision. But it's a little messed up.

All pull-to-publish is sleazy, and betrays a lack of character. Such people are without exception selfish and cutthroat. It may not be "wrong" for them to do what they do in order to be published, but they always, always, always turn out to be pieces of shit in other ways, since the only thing they care about is making a name for themselves.
