She’s not a princess(tm) because they didn’t make her part of the lineup. Kida from Atlantis isn’t a princess(tm) either. Meanwhile Mulan is even though she didn’t marry a prince and wasn’t royalty herself.

The disney princess merida dolls I used to sell at target would say otherwise. Isn't she also in various disney games?

Both Merida and Mulan are included in the character lineup on princess.disney.com which I think proves they are princesses
