As long as you could only use it once per posted story. That would need to be hard coded into the site, or you'd get drabbles with fifteen main pairing tags on every single post in some fandoms.

And that is why we need it. Because every single fucking story with a billion pairings will have the author claiming they are all valid main pairings. It'd just become a duplicate of the pairing tag and increase the tag spam problem. They are just gonna have to choose.
