I find most of this to be true of most white men who fetishize asian women, whether they've specifically heard of loli or not.

Ofc not all white men who are attracted to or in a relationship with an asian woman is this type, but the ones who do fetishize them all fetishize along these similar creepy, infantilizing, racist lines.

I remember there was a thread on twitter about this picture of an asian girl (who looks very young for her actual age and was dressed in a very childish manner ) drinking beer. I believe her name was Marina something, anyways the thread was full of people calling her sexy for being a "real life legal loli" and most of those same people were calling black women manly/"ugly".
WHen a black woman pointed out how creepy the people the thread were being, those people zeroed on her and her appearance, accusing her of being jealous of the asian girl because she looks "old" for her age (The black woman was 19 at the time and people accused her of looking 40). They would even go on to say shit like " This is why black men are leaving black women for asian and white women" and "black women are jealous of asian women because they are manly and age poorly, unlike asian women who are eternal lolis"

The lolicon community is one of the creepiest and unpleasant community i have ever come across and that is saying alot. *shudders*

Yeah, and it's absolutely not restricted to imaginary women, either. My sister-in-law is Asian and very petite, and men get really weird about her being married to my tall, blond brother. But recently she started to let her grey hair show and they've suddenly got a lot less obnoxious!

I feel the exact same. I do think it's possible to like that kind of stuff and not be an actual pedophile if it's just stylized characters, but... The vast majority of people I've run into are, so it just makes me run away fast. Especially when it's the main thing they're into and not just a fantasty kink side dish. I really wish communities would pick up their trash when it comes to people who transparently support the real thing.

That's pretty much the twitter/reddit variety of lolicons. Most lolicons I've met off those two sites have been pretty cool people and are more connected with reality in understanding its just a fictional kink that should stay fictional.

And for people that are actually pedophiles, I'd much rather they just jerk it to lolicon than seek out CSEM or contact with a child.

Not as much now, but back in the late 2000s/early 2010s I ran into a few guys like this at anime clubs and a one-off drawing manga class.
The worst one was a guy who tried to give me a scientific 'explanation' on why he was into loli anime girls and how it was no different from being gay. I think the 2000s had brought out out a very specific kind of vocal kind of guy who had 'no filter' and sometimes people would just say shit like that.

I don't care what type of fantasies people have in fiction, I think it's common that people imagine dark and taboo things sometimes. That said, communities where a dark kink is a main feature of the members' identities are often very toxic. I think ruminating on it 24/7 and engaging in a space where the dark subject is very normalized can be unhealthy, or at least certainly can lead to spaces where actual abusers are given a pass.

As a lolicon who despises nazis and sexual predators, I feel you TBH. Neo-nazis colonized a lot of animedom spaces here and there, but it's been especially bad over here. Even when it's not out-and-out nazis, it's still disenfranchised young people parroting propaganda uncritically.
It's about time we have a "Dead Kennedys" moment of our own: "Nazi Lolicons Fuck Off" and such.
