You know for sure that he's a rapist?

At best, even if the sex was consensual, it sounds like he preys upon young female employees behind his wife's back.

Yes, yes, he preys on poor, vulnerable young adult women, behind the back of someone in an open marriage with him. Poor Amanda, she couldn't possibly have understood what "open marriage" means. And that poor 23-year-old, she couldn't possibly have understood sex. At what point do women develop agency? Are conservative cultures correct that women are innately vulnerable until marriage, and as such need to be under constant supervision? Because I've been getting that impression over the past ten years. I mean, shit, I've heard tell that even women in their 30s and 40s can be groomed.

We're doing a great job with this empowerment thing, shouting at every opportunity that we're basically just stupid doe-eyed children who could never, ever, actually want sex, or be attracted to a man. Any sex we have that we don't like, or that we regret, must be rape, because as women, we have the cognitive capacity of 6-year-olds and find physical contact icky as a matter of course.

NAYRT but you realize the nanny told him "no" and he climbed into the tub with her, jerked off on her, and stuck his fingers up her ass despite her telling him "no" ... within 24 hours of first hiring her? There was no discussion beforehand, it wasn't a consensual BDSM thing.

I like Gaiman's work fine, I have personalized autographed stuff I stood in line for. I still would've been horrified in the nanny's position because "my boss won't take no for an answer" sucks even when it involves zero rape.

If Gaiman just wanted to dom his young female fans in hardcore CNC BDSM scenarios, he could've just said so on a fetish site (or had one made just for that) and had a line around the block. Apparently he wanted victims more than partners.

Uh, if she said no and he kept going, that is by definition rape.

AYRT—yes, but the person caping for Gaiman/shit-stirring thinks it's infantilizing victims to say so. Sigh.

You're doing a great job at victim blaming. When I was twenty years younger and I had my first job, which I of course needed to pay the bills, during lunch hour at a quiet office, a much older male colleague told me that he liked me so much because of my big tits. Yes, he said it that way and he even touched them. Yeah, twenty years later and much wiser, I would've decked him in the face, but back then I was young, too surprised and overwhelmed to react and even worse, this man was the top dog at the office, unironically loved by all and I just KNEW that whatever I'd say about him, even implicating that he touched me, would've gotten me fired asap and nobody would've believed me.

Before you yell and cry and blame the victims because yes they ARE victims, put yourself in their shoes. You're probably the badassest b1tch out there who knows exactly what to do and how to respond or react in any situation. Untill it happens to YOU. Then we'll talk. Thanks to you, many don't dare to speak up because they get blamed. I hope you're very proud of yourself.

He's not gonna pick you.

Sounds like? Sounds like you don't know that, either.
