Heck, I'm not even in the PNW (I live in another part of the US where weed is legal) and I'm laughing at the idea that only college students smoke pot because around here, smoking pot is considered perfectly normal among people of all ages. Most of the people I know who do it are actually 30+.

Yeah I also know more middle-aged people who smoke pot than actual college students. It's so completely normalized that it'd probably take me out of a fic for anyone who wasn't a literal child to get all precious about it rather than the opposite.

Exactly. None of the college students I know smoke pot because 1) it's expensive, and 2) they're too busy being college students and focusing on their coursework.

Meanwhile it's very normal to hear grown-ass adults with careers talking casually about their favorite weed shops and things like that.
