I agree about baby girl/baby boy. Babe is such a normal affectionate term though. It isn’t even recent. I’m not talking about the cringe “she’s such a babe;” I mean just one partner approaching their significant other and saying “babe” instead of their name.

I regretted including "babe" the moment I've pressed send tbf. I was fresh from reading fanfic where it was presented more as a kink thing (yeah there were no tags of course).
