Except in the rare case of a tallish trans man who got on T relatively early, everyone can tell. They're being polite.

Eh, I personally don't care to scrutinize what birth sex someone is so anon has a point. Its not a matter of "everyone knows, they're just not saying so", it's "unless its dating or going to the doctor most people don't care", unless you're those transvestigation weirdos.

+1

Sure, some people are very visibly trans. They're generally aware of it themselves. Others pass some of the time, others usually pass or always pass. Just because ayrt notices some trans people doesn't mean they see everyone. Plus the assumption that only rare trans men pass... Okay lol. I'm like you, I don't try to clock people because I have no reason to.

I've seen enough transvestigators accusing cis women of being "obviously trans" and confused transphobes telling trans women they'll never be men to know that just isn’t true.

+1 from a short cis woman with huge boobs, long hair, and a babyface who still gets misgendered (I assume it's the body and facial hair if I don't have time/spoons to shave, but idk.)

Also I don't care what anyone identifies as except insofar as I don't want to misgender them.
