The MCU alone has made over $30 billion as a franchise for Disney. I think they are going to be fine.

Disney also has huge debts, thanks to the Fox purchase, the Hulu mess, etc. Their stock has lost a lot of value. They have huge overhead. Disney+ is still losing tons of money. Investors tend to be leery of that sort of thing, and Disney needs to keep their investors happy.

The only part of the company that is making decent profits at this point is the parks, and attendance has declined there. Plus Universal's Epic Universe park is opening next year, which is going to eat into Disney World's attendance even more.

Also, the film studios have been losing money lately, lots of it. Almost every movie they put out last year lost money, and GotG 3 was the only MCU movie to make a profit. The Marvels was the biggest box office bomb in history from a financial standpoint.

And while this year is looking a bit better for them, there are still no guarantees that any of the movies coming out this year will be successful, especially with the way the budget on Cap 4 has to have bloated after all the reshoots. That movie getting massive reshoots and being pushed back almost a year when it was supposedly already done are not good signs.

You realize that ticket sales are not the only marker Disney is counting? They make massive amounts of merch sales and licensing, and, again, thirty billion dollars. Thirty Billion from just one franchise again. Disney is gonna be just fine.
