(Anonymous) 2024-07-29 12:21 am (UTC)(link)And even if a man says he's straight, or that he's gay, he could be lying for any number of reasons. Many people aren't honest about their sexuality. There are complex reasons for this.
Even someone who appears to be ace on screen may not be. And someone who is sexual on screen may in fact be ace, but feels pressure to act as if they are sexual.
The fact is that there is no textual or contextual basis for any character's sexuality. It's something that is purely and completely open to interpretation, at every stage of the game.
