That's a real truscum point of view, honestly. People can be trans without ever transitioning, so someone whose childhood gender expression matches their current gender expression might still be trans.

A lot of trans fanon does hold that the characters in question have transitioned, though. I'm not interested in policing people's actual identities, but it's hard to argue giving mastectomy scars to a character isn't going against canon if canon leaves no room for them to ever have had breasts.

Which is why some fans ignore realism or historical accuracy and just have their fave be trans. And then you all whine because it’s not realistic. Because the real truth is that you just find it unacceptable to headcanon any character as trans no matter how it’s done.

No the real truth is that trans headcanons suck when forced on everyone, inlcuding but not limited to saying it's actually canon, not tagging it, insisting everyone who doesn't do it is wrong and transphobic etc.
It's not the trans headcanons we have an issue with, it's the trans headcanon truthers.
