Same! My last concert was The Rolling Stones and in order to justify the £500 price per ticket, Keith’s solo in Sympathy was like 10 minutes of random guitar noise. That sort of thing is really common and I don’t enjoy it. I also don’t enjoy hearing changes to the arrangement, melody, or timing. It throws me off every time.

This is also why I generally prefer whatever version I hear of a song first even if it’s a cover.

Same, but I wouldn't mind if someone recorded a unique 10 minute solo and I could listen to it repeatedly to fully enjoy it. That's what gets lost to me in live events. It's not that I don't want to enjoy the music, it's that I do want to enjoy the music, at my own time and pace.

Some of my favorite versions of songs are [Live Recording] of [Song] by [Artist] at [Event Venue] at [Specific Date]... but I wouldn't have enjoyed being there in person.
