Depends on the band and the genre imo

Jam bands are ten hundred percent better live and I mostly only have live recordings of their music.

BNL has some really fun live recordings.

My fave traditional Irish music is often better live, where they keep in the stories and banter between songs. Plus they just have better energy played in front of a live audience.

But other than that yeah, I enjoy the concert as an experience but generally like the clean recorded versions of songs better.
